MELBOURNE: Haris Rauf, a Pakistani fast bowler, participates in the Big Bash League (BBL). He went to the Melbourne Stars family day on Sunday.

The Melbourne Stars shared that the fast bowler joined their team for the current BBL season 13, which started on December 7 and will end on January 24 next year.

Melbourne Stars announced X, previously known as Twitter, stating, “Guess who’s here.”

The 30-year-old fast bowler went to the family day in Melbourne, where other players from the squad were also there.

Pakistan’s spinner, Usama Mir, is already a member of the Melbourne Stars.

The team previously shared that they’ve created a special seating section called “Pakistan Bay” on the first level of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It’s a spot designed to offer cricket fans a unique and exciting experience.

The team also introduced a special membership called the “House of Rauf” for BBL 13. This membership offers fans a one-of-a-kind experience, letting them enjoy the thrilling action live from the “Pakistan Bay.”

Melbourne Stars and the MCG want to make the fan experience unforgettable by introducing Pakistan Bay and the House of Rauf membership.

Haris faced strong criticism from various sources after Chief Selector Wahab Raiz announced that he chose to withdraw from the Australia tour.

Wahab pointed out that Haris had worries about potential fitness issues if he participated in the tour.

“We have done everything to support him. Even if he didn’t perform well on this tour, I was willing to accept it. Our fitness consultant assured us that he [Rauf] wouldn’t face any problems in the future.”

“We could have handled the concerns, but he withdrew at the last minute. I think this will be a setback for Pakistan,” explained the chief selector.
