The BCCI is the wealthiest cricket board globally, taking a big share of the ICC’s money. It’s a powerful influence in world cricket. Compared to other top boards, the BCCI is much richer. A report showed a huge difference between the BCCI and Cricket Australia, with the Indian board making 28 times more money than the Australian one. To be specific, the BCCI is worth $2.25 billion (INR 18,700 crore).

India is known as a ‘cricket-crazy nation’ for a good reason. The love for cricket here is unmatched worldwide. Other countries eagerly host India because the Indian cricket team attracts a lot of revenue.

The BCCI is worth more than INR 18,000 crore, while Cricket Australia’s value is INR 660 crore (USD 79 million), according to Cricbuzz. The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is third on the list, valued at USD 59 million. The BCCI makes up around 85% of the total net worth of the top 10 boards, according to the report.

The report also pointed out that Cricket South Africa’s income will significantly increase with the upcoming tour of India, set to begin on December 10.

Playing cricket against India for 30 days is predicted to bring in approximately USD 68.7 million for Cricket South Africa. To break it down, that’s about USD 8.6 million per match or USD 2.29 million each day. Even though Cricket South Africa isn’t very wealthy financially, this money is anticipated to cover the losses of USD 6.3 million, USD 10.5 million, and USD 11.7 million incurred in the last three financial years.

The Indian Premier League’s increasing popularity and the emergence of the Women’s Premier League suggest that the BCCI’s income in cricket is heading for even greater success.
