Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, is set to play in the University of Southern California’s game on Sunday.
LeBron James is eagerly looking forward to witnessing his eldest son, Bronny James, make his debut in USC Basketball on Sunday. This comes almost five months after Bronny had a health scare during practice.
Nineteen-year-old Bronny is set to play in the University of Southern California’s game on Sunday, returning to the team after missing the first eight games of the season.
LeBron James’s son was hospitalized for two days in late July after experiencing cardiac arrest during practice. This alarming incident captured widespread attention in the sports world for several days.
“It’s a significant milestone for our family, no doubt,” said James, 38, in a statement to reporters following Thursday night’s victory of the Los Angeles Lakers over the New Orleans Pelicans. “It’s another step for him on his journey in his basketball career.”
The four-time NBA Champion expressed his anticipation, saying, “I’m looking forward to that.”
“Thrilled for that moment,” James added.
The four-time NBA MVP hasn’t concealed his joy at witnessing his son’s career ascent. James shared with Spectrum SportsNet that the day Bronny graduated from high school and committed to the USC men’s basketball program was “one of the best days of my life.”
“First of all, congratulations to Bronny on his decision. I’m incredibly proud of him, and our family shares that pride,” James said. “For me, it’s even more special because he’s the first person in my family to go to college. I didn’t go to college, so it’s a unique and special moment.”
