Lionel Messi’s team, Inter Miami, is going to Japan as part of their pre-season tour.

Inter Miami will play against the Japanese league champion, Vissel Kobe, at the Japan National Stadium on February 7. This will be their fourth match in a tour that also includes games in Saudi Arabia, where Lionel Messi will face his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo on January 29 and February 1. Additionally, there will be a game against a team of professional players from Hong Kong on February 4.

One of the players on the Vissel Kobe team is Andrés Iniesta. He used to play with Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba at Barcelona. Iniesta and Busquets were also teammates when Spain won the 2010 World Cup.

Inter Miami has five preseason matches scheduled. Four of them will take place during the Saudi Arabia-Hong Kong-Japan trip, and there is another match in El Salvador on January 19.

The team will start training for the preseason in early January, and the regular season for Major League Soccer is scheduled to begin in February.
