Naseem Shah says his brothers became successful in cricket because they “worked hard.”

LAHORE: Naseem Shah’s brothers will play with him on the Islamabad United team in the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Islamabad chose fast bowlers Hunain Shah and Ubaid Shah in the PSL season nine draft, making the trio of Shah brothers complete in their team.

Hunain, who is 20 years old, has been playing a lot of domestic cricket for the last two years. On the other hand, Ubaid has performed well in junior-level cricket and has been outstanding in the current U19 Asia Cup.

This is the first time that three brothers will be on the same team in the PSL. It will be interesting to see if they get the chance to play together or not.

Speaking to reporters in Lahore, Naseem denied the idea that he had any say in getting his brothers selected for the team.

“I am not the main decision-maker; I can’t bring my brothers into the team,” Naseem explained. He emphasized that his brothers earned their place in cricket through hard work.

Naseem, who used to play for Quetta Gladiators and was recently selected by Islamabad, mentioned that the new team is a fresh experience for him. He expressed hope that season nine would turn out well for him.

The young fast bowler also acknowledged the difficulty of making a comeback after being injured. “Facing skilled batters in the PSL will be a challenge,” added the tall and lean pacer.
