Shaheen Afridi became the number one ICC Test bowler


Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shared the latest rankings for Test players. Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has moved up one position among bowlers.

According to the ICC, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin is still the top-ranked Test bowler. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is in second place, and Australian captain Pat Cummins and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi have both moved up one spot to fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

In the overall ICC Test rankings, New Zealand’s captain Kane Williamson remains in the top spot. English batsman Joe Root is in second place, and Australian batsman Steve Smith is in third place. Former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam is now in the fourth position.

Notable changes include Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand moving up to the seventh position, and Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim climbing four places to the 20th position.

In the bowlers’ rankings, Tim Southee from New Zealand and Mitchell Starc from Australia have each moved up three places to 11th and 10th positions, respectively.

Additionally, Ravindra Jadeja from India is leading the ICC Test all-rounders category.
