According to court records obtained by People on Sunday, Turner will have custody of the children until January 7, after which Jonas will accompany them back to New York City. Despite dropping off the kids with Turner on December 17, it remains uncertain whether the ex-couple will reunite for the holidays, as Jonas’s recent Instagram Story from December 24 suggested he was still in London.

The 27-year-old Dark Phoenix star was spotted last week strolling through the streets of London with her daughters on a rainy day. Clad in a black coat, Turner pushed a pram carrying three-year-old Willa and one-year-old Delphine, with one of the toddlers gripping an umbrella.

In October, following a thorough and multi-day mediation process, Turner and Jonas reached an “amicable resolution” regarding child custody. The couple agreed to let Willa and Delphine spend Christmas with their mother and Thanksgiving with their father.

The separation between the singer of “Hesitate” and the X-Men actress was announced in September after four years of marriage. The divorce proceedings took an unexpected turn when Turner filed a lawsuit against Jonas, demanding the “immediate return” of their children to Europe to fulfill their pre-divorce agreement of raising them in England. Despite the initial tumultuous breakup, both parties expressed their commitment to being “great co-parents” after Jonas filed for a quiet settlement.

As the holiday season unfolds, fans are left curious about whether Turner and Jonas will come together for a festive celebration or continue their amicable co-parenting arrangement from different parts of the globe.
