The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team is 15th in the AP Poll, as announced on Monday afternoon.

The Hokies won their eighth game of the season with a big 25-point victory on the road against Rutgers on Sunday night. This win also marked Kenny Brooks’ 500th victory as a head coach.

Matilda Ekh scored 25 points and hit seven 3-pointers, leading the Hokies. Other players, Georgia Amoore, Elizabeth Kitley, and Olivia Summiel, also scored in double figures. Summiel, who came off the bench, achieved her first double-double as a Hokie.

The Hokies will play at home on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum on Thursday, Dec. 21, with a 2 p.m. tip-off against the William & Mary Tribe.

Virginia Tech faculty and staff have the opportunity to get up to two tickets per staff ID for certain winter games at the Cassell Coliseum ticket booth. If you have up to four eligible IDs, you can claim up to eight tickets at once (while supplies last). Remember, tickets must be claimed on the day of the game, starting 90 minutes before the game begins.
