Upon joining the cast of ‘Dunki,’ Taapsee was promptly informed of the physical demands her role would entail. In a recent conversation with SRK and the film’s director, Rajkumar Hirani, she recounted her initial reaction.

“The first thing I was told when I signed the film was that I will have to prepare for ‘Dunki.’ They said your Punjabi and Hindi is great, but you will also have to learn wrestling. So I said, I will finally become a heroine and romance Shah Rukh Khan after doing 5-6 sports movies,” Taapsee revealed.

Known for her commitment to authenticity, Taapsee has undergone rigorous training for previous roles in films like ‘Rashmi Rocket,’ ‘Soorma,’ ‘Shabaash Mithu,’ and ‘Saand Ki Aankh.’

The film ‘Dunki,’ generating considerable anticipation, explores the narrative of individuals compelled to leave their homeland in pursuit of a better life, navigating through an illegal immigration channel.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on December 21, ‘Dunki’ boasts a stellar cast that includes Vicky Kaushal alongside Taapsee Pannu, promising an engaging cinematic experience for audiences.
